Spring, Solebox & Saucony

Spring is here! Copenhagen is hit by a strong feeling of semi-summer tendencies, and people seem to enjoy is aswell, I know i am! These arrived yesterday And it was worth the waiting! The Saucony x Solebox Shadow 90, which i featured in the first post on my blog back in January: http://cphsd.blogspot.com/2010/01/saucony-under-german-treatment.html

I was a bit terrified when i tried them on for the first time, due to the shape which is a bit different then most sneakers i tend to wear. But i think they look fire, and the fit is perfect! Size 8,5 which was the smallest in stock. My plan was to buy the new school aswell, but those retro runners seem to take the glory at the moment? I might go running in these! Denim is A.P.C New Standard.

Sunny day in classics

Wonderfull day in Copenhagen! It started out raining like hell, but ended up being another one of those gorgeus days in the sun! I though a pair of Clarks desert boots was an abvious choice for today. For the few days you dont feel the sneaks!

Festival beaters

I found this picture of my beaten pair of shoes i wore on Roskilde Festival (A danish music festival) last year. Plain random Nikes from old times, they really did their job. I worked as a paperboy for the festival-newspaper, so i would walk a great amount almost every day. As you can see!

The little voice...

A very good friend of mine sent me this today

Sunny Sunday

Today was the first real day with the feeling of spring, and so it had to be enjoyed! The Hypebeast Zeitfrei Adidas from last summer is a real treat for your feet. I have actually only worn them about 4 times, but now i will take my revenge!

The bike at the moment is an old Peugeot "Richard Virenque" model which i found laying around at some small local shop. The price was next to free. It's quite a projekt as the only real thing still working when i bought it was the frame. I like the way it actually stands out being a pretty brave colour riding on, and maybe a bit ugly. Still it works better and better now, and i actually just need to replace the front wheel, since the bearings inside are messed up.

Have a nice week everyone!

Danish summer in Proto-Norse

Denmark can in most cases seem like a pretty dull little country stuck between bigger uproars from about. Yes in most cases we are invisible, not even on the map! We have cold winters, rainy days and low temperatures most of the year. Some even blame us for being behind schedual! But that has certanly changed over the past few years! Now here comes the question: Have you ever experienced a real danish summer? We have a hard time remembering it ourselves. Our snowy minds are only just now getting the first sunbeams laid on our roofs but we know it is just around the corner, Summer time!

When Norse Projects released their Spring/summer lookbook a while ago i was struck with a good feeling on how this kind of danish fashion really works in advantage for our small country. It took me some time to understand the clever touch of this collection, but what Norse always masters is a fascinating and experimental hybrid between Danish cultureheritage and effortless streetwear. It actually makes you want to escape the city life in favor for the quiet country fields and the local woodplated harbor!

(One of the highlights from this collection - the freedom fighter knit featuring the armband worn by danish freedom fighters in the second world war)

Right on Schedual, timeless and smart! Ever experienced a danish summer? I can certanly recommend it!

The shoe that thinks for your foot

Being a huge fan of athletics and running in general i could not ignore the temptation of featuring the new Lunar Elite + from Nike here on CPHSD. Okay, Crooked Tongues actually beat me to it, which i couldn't have foreseen in any way (http://www.crookedtongues.com/news/index.php)

Nike is an innovative brand. They like new ideas, and they like to incorporate styles and technologies in new levels. Their Lunar line certanly seem to proove that as they keep up their pace with the new Lunar Elite +. Not only is this a hight tec performance shoe but it also has certain aesthetic features which could appeal to even the most frantic sneaker lover out there (I myself consider walking in those on daily basis) Yes i feel them, and i know for certain that i will be using them in the nearest future.

The shoe features the Flywire technology for a lighter feel (Weight is reduced remarkeable) and a tighter yet comfy fit. Plus a "Stitch-free" Design! My local dealer of running gear "Marathon Sport" was closed for about 2 weeks, due to the whole staff taking a trip to Club La Santa to try out these new Shoes. From what i hear they are amazing.

Now that's dedication!
